Merry Christmas!

As the year is winding down and we sit and reflect on what a year it has been, we cannot help but be so thankful and joyous for how fortunate and blessed we are.  As chronicled on our facebook page we have listed just some of the many things we are thankful for as we did a month long homage to all blessings, please give a moment to be a part of our celebration.

First and foremost, we are thankful for you, our wonderful and warm hearted clients and patients. Without you, we could not do what we love and be able to help you and your pets. As Anna put it, “We have the best clients, but they aren’t really clients. They are more like a part of our family.”  Anna is exactly right.  You have entrusted us with the care of some very important family members, you have let us into your lives and we don’t take that lightly. So, thank you for making us possible and for untrusting us with those precious fur babies.

We are, of course, very thankful for each other. We have a very dedicated and compassionate group of ladies here whose only hope is to make everything better for everyone (two and four legged) else. Countless hours are spent away from their own families to help yours and long hours are often spent on the run with minimal time for breaks and breathers but you will never hear a complaint or regret from them. They are the most loving, giving, and selfless people I know; always with a kind word, smile, or offer of help.  You just won’t find get a better band of sisters anywhere.

Let’s not forget the real reason we do what we do… the beloved critters that we couldn’t live without. No where on earth will you find the level of unconditional love that a pet gives.  Their only mission in life is to be happy, make you happy, and give love.  They are a true gift to us and only those who have loved a pet know what a blessing they are. We can learn so much from our pets but I think it was best put by a young man who had to have his pet euthanized… ‘People are born so that they can learn how to live a good Life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?’ The six-year-old continued, ‘Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.’  Let’s never stop learning from them.

Lastly, we are thankful for the many daily blessings that are often over looked. We have family and friends who care for us and support us, a roof over our heads and blankets to keep us warm, food on the table, shoes on our feet and clothes to wear, and we have our freedoms. We are very fortunate and on top of that we get to come here each day to see you, love your critters, and be a part of an extended family. Life is good and we are thankful!
