We are thankful
In this time of year when everything around us is running at warp speeds and we can’t tell the difference between today, yesterday, last week, or much less consider next week. We would like to take this time to slow down a bit and thank to people who make life a joy as well as time to be thankful for all the many blessings in our lives. Happiness is contagious so we hope that you may also stop and consider all the blessings in your life too.
First and foremost we are thankful for our clients. Without their faith and trust we could not do what we do. They have entrusted us to the care for their most loved companions and we do not take the responsibility lightly.
Secondly, we would like to thank the pets that make our lives better. With every tail wag, sloppy kiss, and happy bounce we are rewarded for the long days, missed lunches, and aching muscles. Pets show true, unconditional love every day no matter what is going on around them. Without pets in our lives it would be a sad, gray world.
We are also thankful for each other. We have an amazing staff at Owen’s Ark. Every single one has a great love for animals and only wants the best for each and every one. Each possesses a terrific sense of humor and selflessness to the betterment of everyone and every patient around them. There is no better team and no better group of human beings in general (though we may be biased…a little).
Our in-house laboratory capabilities are also a huge blessing. We can perform all sorts of diagnostics on blood samples to determine infection status, treatments options, and long term care for a multitude of diseases or illnesses. This ability ensures quicker treatment and shorter hospital stays ensuring a healthier, happier pet (and happier family too).
When it comes down to it, every day we can name a dozen things that make us smile or make us realize how good we truly have it. So here are a few more:
- The totally crazy, loving life dog that comes in right when we need it
- Warm, sunny days to work outside
- Baked goods of all kinds, let’s be honest… any food delivered
- Complicated cases that end with a happy, healthy patient
- Fellowship with clients that make them more like family
- Our sales reps who support us and enable us to offer the best possible medicine
- Working relationships with other clinics to offer tests and procedures we cannot but so our patients are still able to get the best care
- Learning new things on a daily basis to better ourselves and the care we offer
- The doctors and their hard work, concern, and love they put into each patient
- Playful puppies and kitten
- The love and gentle eyes of a wise, senior canine
- Knowing this is not just a job but a passion, and knowing we are blessed to do it
- There are so many more, just ask any one of us!
